WzLMHannr, August 15. A movement is on foot to celebrate the declaration of peace and the beginning of the new century by a peace memorial church, on the walls of which ghall be recorded the names of New Zealanders who have fallen in the Empire's cause. A site has been secured near Parliament Buildings and a number of prominent citizens, including three Ministers and a large number of M's.H.R., are interesting themselves in J the project, which is designed to be of pationaTand not local significance. Colonel Pole-Penton received the following cable this morning from Major Craddock: —" We are doing much marching, trying to round up Boers. All the officers and men at the front are very fit,"
