Tub following will be the North team for Thursday Full, Holdsworth; three-quarters, Young, Mclntyre, and Hardgreaves; five-eighths, Mynott; half, Humphries; wings, Tate and Phillips; forwards, Benaall, O'Dowda, Duffin, Watson, Sampson, Bayly, and Thomas.
The following team will represent the Star 11. against Oka'awa at Fitz- i roy to-morrow (Wednesday), play to start at 1.15 snarp:—W. Richards, Kivell, Williamson, Richardson, llock, K. George, V. George, Webber, Bayly, Eva, Hook, Te Atu, Potts, Way, and Clarke. , On Saturday, about fifty boys of the Central School, in charge of Messrs. 0. Johnson and A. Gray, went by train to Stratford, whero two matches were played against the Stratford District High School. The match between the Second Fifteens resulted in a win for the Central by 6 to 3, but in the match between the First Fifteens, Stratford won by 5 to 0. •Waoganui beat Bangitikei by 87 points to 6. The fihronicle, in reporting the match, says For the winners | the whole team played fairly well, but | will have to " buck up" a bit if they want to make a good show against Taranaki and the Northern teams.
The Wanganui Union has finally decided that the Heps, shall play Thames on 13th September, Auckland on 15th September, and Taranaki (return match) on 19 th September. j
