CONSECRATION OF A CATHEDRAL.
[FUR FULH3 ASSOCIATION.] Odristcudiioh, July 22. Bishop Yordon and Monsignor Muck ay arrived from Dunedin last ■light to take part in the re-consccration f the Catholic pro-Cathedral here. Tlitsy were accorded a public wolcome i>y Bishop Grimes and leading Catholic?. I'o-day tt:e ceremony of consecration was performed with High • Pontifi m 1 .Mass, a procession, and a sermon, which the Bishop of Dunedin preached. In the evening an address of welccmo was presented to him. Monsignor Alcck&y preached, and tho Ohurch was cro.vd.'d on both occasions. The pro-Ca'.htdial has been moved bodily a distance of nearly a quarter of a mile to make room for a new Cathedral to be commenced i shortly, the foundation stone of which' will be laid by Cardinal Moran, of Sydney, who comes over for that pur- i pose. To-morrow evening the visitors will be entertained at a conversazione.
