Four boys set fire to a barrel of gunpowder at KaJgccrlie. ■ Two of the number, Davey and James, were killed outright and the others seriously injured. Received 19, 6 p.m. London, July 18. Mr, Goschen has consented to the appointment of a committee of enquiry in connection with the adoption of the Belleville boilers by the Admiralty, hoping thereby to allay any uneariness and secure impartial verdict ia regard to the boilers. St. Petersburg, July 18. The Shah of Persia, who is visiting Russia, was officially welcomed at Sc, Petersburg.
