Note-The «'M" Manure gave the best results m proportion to cost out of 19 experiments with Champion Swede Turnips at the Government Experimental Farm at Momohaki in 1897 (tee page 170, Fifth Reoortof Agricultural Djparttneut) : The experiments made at Momohaki : with various Manures upon Turnips in the Season 1898-99 show that ihe bssc result was obtained from a mixture of one-third steamel bone dust and two-tnirds basic slag (Thomas' Phosphate), whilst the be,t result, at a minimum cos', was fwm a mixture of one-tliird Lawes' Superpbosphate and two-thirds of tha VV.M.E.
