LAND BOARD.

The Land Board met on Monday. Present: Messrs. Strauchon (Chairman), Stock, Heslop, and Rattenbury. Land applied for since the last meeting was reported as:—Section 29, block 6, Ng&timaru, Isaac Crowe, 100 acres, 0.r.p.; Bection —, block 14, Omona, W. A. Quin, 1219 acres, 1.i.p.; section 14, block I, Ngatimaru, J. P. Clifford, 540 acres, cash; and section I,block 7, Cape, W. H. Holloway, 163.acres, o.r.p. The application of T. G. Dewer, for section 4, block 3, Ngatimaru, was confirmed. Consent was given to the following transfers:—J. Bloomfield to Jas. Penniall, section 76, block 6, Ngaire; F. W. Buckingham to H. P. H. Graves, section 17, block 2, Omona; T. Brook to A. Van Asch, section 14, block 6, Kapara; H, J. Mace to H. D. Mace, section 3, block 1, Egmont; M. Henley to W, McL. Kennedy, sections 12 and 13, block 15, Ngatimaru; G. R. Tylee to O.J. Maslin, section 42, block 11, Ngaire; S. Larson to T. Wall, section 16, block 5, Bgmont. An application by T. Anderson was held over pending reply to question as. to personal residence. Consent *vas given to Mrs. J. Mackay transferring part section 22, bbek 12, Huiroa, to F. M. Standish. Freeholds were granted to:-John Penniall, sectioE 12, block 12, Ngaire ; P. Dolan, section 21, block 4, Huiroa; G. C. Turner, sections 4 and 5, block 12, Ngaire. After reading tho Ranger's report, the following applications were granted : —Transfer of sub-licensa A. O. Upson to J. L. Lockton, section 14, block 9, Ngatimiru; sub-lease from A, G. Barnard to A. R. H*irison, src k ion,lo, etc., block 16, Opaku; suu-We from O.E.Bacon to Messrs. O. M. Gniit. and G. Bicker, te;ti)n 3, block 13, Pouatu ; sub-lease from D. Paul to D. Fraser, section 12, block 11, Mimi. In response to W. Nathan's application for the use of the house and grass on sections 107 and 109, block 6, Pouatu, the Board decided tnat it could not accede as to the house, but would osorvo 20 acres of grass round the bouse for the Inspector's use and let him the remainder at 4s per acre psr annum on a yearly tenancy. R. E. Shewry notified the termination of his grazing tenancy of section 86, block 10, Pouatu.

T. H. Mueller was granted permission to surrender soction 19, block 6, Egmont, owing to his inability to comply with residence conditions. The section is to be re-offered for selection. Three months' extension of time was given to W. Lawler wherein to either take up his residence on section 6, block 16, Ngatimaru, or to transfer, G, Pearce'e explanation as to nonrosidenca on soctions 2 and 10, block 12, JSTgaire, was accepted. %s&s A lease was ordered to bo issued to W. Spar-go of section 24, block 16, Ngatimaru(Mingaere Improved Settlement). John Halpin's application far extension of his license from 10 to 14 years of section 2, block 9, Cape, waß granted,

The Ringer reported having resumed possession of sections 4 and 8, block 1, Mitni, and the forfeiture was confirmed. Tha sections are to be offered for sale or selection. The Board adjourned.
