Lord Metbuen, when pursuing the Boers towards Lindley, recaptured 800 sheep and 500 head of cattle.

A Boer convoy for Lindley fiercely attacked on Tuesday, but escaped after a heavy rear-guard action, in whioh ten British were killed and four officer! and fifty men wounded.
