[PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, June 19. Mr. Poynton, S.M., the Public Trus-! tee, is holding an enquiry into t>he| complaints made by Inspector Peiidtr, of the Police Department, again jt Ohief Detective McGrath, and there i are counter-complaints. Inspector Pardy and Ohief Detective Campbell, of Dunedin, are summoned to give evidence for McGrath ; also Inspector McGovern, of £Eawke'a Bay, and SubInspector McDonnell, formery of Hawke's Bay, but now of the West Coast. The nature of the charges is not disqlosed, and the enquiry will be private.
