*■ DEATH SENTENCE TO BE COMMUTED [PBB PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, June 4, The Executive Council to-day decided to recommend the Governor to commute the sentence of death passed on John Dtighton .for the murder of his infant child to imprisonment with hard labour for life, Ministers considering that a perusal of the evidence fully warranted this course.
