WELLINGTON SESSIONS. [per press association.] Wellington, May 30. At the Supreme Oourfc, Herbert Doughty pleaded guilty to theft at Masterton, and was remanded, "W. Licius Oarey, on a charge of assault with intent upon Wm, Jas. Eobertson, at Featherston, pleaded not guilty, and the case occupied the Court nearly the whole day. The jury have retired. Lai'Ur. In the Supreme Court, Carey was convicted of common assault, and remanded for sentence. DUNEDIN SESSIONS. Dunedin, May 30. At the Supreme Court, the charge of manslaughter against Alex. Hamilton EddingtoD, Henry Hughes Eddington, and Robert Burns was concluded. After deliberating for an hour and ahalf, the jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty, and the accused were discharged, Chas. and John Price and Joseph Smith were convicted of assault and robbery and sentenced to four years' imprisonment.
