Those who attend the Theatre to-night will, no doubt, fully endorse the following taken from the Auckland Weekly flews of April 27th" On the evening of April 21, Messrs. Cooper and Macdermott gave their ' Grand Patriotic Scenic Concert' in the Temperance and Public Hall, the ouilding being crowded. The thrilling living pictures of real warfare, and the magnificent coloured inyriorama views of great events and battle scenes of the present war, fairly brought down the house, and were undoubtedly the best ever shown here. The colossophone, for the first time heard in the district, was also much appreciated, and called forth rounds of applause. There was another full house on Sunday evening, when a 6acred concert and kinematograph programme, illustrating 'The Story of the Cross,' was gone through, some of the sacred songs on the colossophone being repeated by request, The entertainment was mosi pleasing, and an intellectual treat." They are specially adapted for all complaints affecting the liver, stomach and kidneys, and at this season no family should be without a supply.—Advt Considerable speculation was indulged in when the South African war first started as to how the colonial horses would stand the severe strain that they must necessarily be put to in reconnoitring, patrol, and forced marches work. With a six months' test we now learn that the New Zealand horses have stood the test best of all. Another tribute to the vital and strength-giving qualities of our country.
