THE AUCKLAND EXHIBITION.
[PDB PEES 3 ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, May 10. It is probable that the question of the disposal of the surplus on the Auckland Industrial and Mining Exhibition will be fought out in the Oourt. The Chamber of Commerce have resolved to become incorporated under the Unclassified Societies' Registration Act, in order to give the Chamber a title to appear in Court, and intimation of the registration is expected to arrive from Wellington in the course of a week or so. When this is to hand it is expected that the Chamber will go to the Supreme Oourt and ask the trustee in whose names the money is now lodged in the Bank to show cause why the whole of the surplus should not be paid to the Chamber of Commerce in terms of the original prospectus of the Exhibition. Two trustees are desiroas of handing the money over to the Chamber, but a third opposes the Chamber getting entire control of the money, and advocates a scheme for a technical school, with provision for the Chamber of Commerne in the same building.
