MAFEKING RELIEF FORCE.
ASSEMBLING AT KIMBERLEY. Kcccived 2, 10 a.m. Loxdo.v, May 1. There are indications that General Hunter is now assembling the division at Kimberluy, which is ordered to tin relief of Mufeking. ALL, WELL ON THU 20th. BADHN-POWELL'S WONDERFUL CONFIDENCE. (Heceived 1.10 a.m.) London, May 2, 1 Mafeking repcrtn all well on th20th. The Boers on this date had removed their big gun southwards and dynamited the railway. Three thousand are besieging, with many guns. Commandant Snyman killed nine native women fugitives, Lord Roberts asked the garrison to hold out till the 18' h.
The garrison at Mafoking is dieappointed, but determined.
Colonel Baden-Powell is quite confident.
