DREDGING AT MANUKAU.
[FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, April 25. The work of dredging a portion of the Manukau approaching the wharf commenced this morning. The dredge is capable of lifting 2000 tons per day. The dredging proposals of Mr. Napier Bell have been somewhat altered, but it is expected that the Marine Department may, as the work proceeds, see the necessity for extending the improvements in the best interests of the ■nail service of the colony.
