CRICKET NEWS.
NEW PLYMOUTH V. TARIKI. This Senisr Cup match, deciding the championship for the northern district, was played in the Rec. on Monday, The town team went to the wickets first, and (batting six substitutes) put togethor 82 runs, of which Hasall made 51 (not out) by good cricket. The visiting team, in their innings, made 98, JWaite (22) and Gardner (22) being top scorers. Tariki thus won by 16 runs, and have now to play off with the leading team of the southern district (Hawera O.O.).
