Although during Easter Monday there was no downfall of rain, the unsettled state of the weather and the threatening appearance of the clouds did much to militate against the presence of a large gathering at Fitzroy. There was, however, a very fair attendance, and the various events were watched with keen interest. The Oity Band were present, and, under the direction of Mr. Haigh, played a selection of lively aire, thus adding considerably to the pleasure of the visitors. The refreshment department was in charge of Mr. Lealand who, as usual, provided liberally and excellently. For most of the entries there were capital fields, and, thanks to the efforts of the officials, everything went off well—the starter earning a well-merited tribute of praise for the manner in which his duty was performed. Mr. O. B. Lever kept up his reputation as a most obliging and courteous secretary, and did good yeoman service to ensure the success of the meeting. Towards the latter part of the day the coolness of the wind was somewhat unpleasant to those who were lightly clad, and required a little more excitement to counteract its chilliness, The following are the results
