THE HOLIDAY.
Oh Easter Monday pleasure-seekers will have a good programme from which to make a selection for a day's outing, STAB FOOTBALL CLUB SPOBTS. The fifth annual sports gathering of the Star Football Olub will be held at Fitzroy, when all that is wanted to ensure success is fine weather. Tbe fields promise to be large, especially in the running events, and good finishes should be witnessed. The Railway Department have arranged to stop tbe trains at Westmacott's crossing, Fitzroy, for the convenience of visitors attending the sports. BOWLING. The Hawera bowlers will play a game with the local club, when afternoon tea will be provided. PUBLIC BALL. Intbe evening, in the Theatre Royal, a public ball in aid of the funds of the Recreation Grounds will be held. An j energetic Committee has for some time been carrying out arrangements, and a big success seems assured. We trust to see a large attendance, and that the result will be a substantial addition to Che Board's funds.
