A CHARGE OF PERJURY.

Auckland, April 12,
Hansard, of the Star Hotel, was committed for trial at Kawakawa, on a charge of perjury in connection with an inquest on the late Mr. Kirkpatrick, Registrar of Electors, by asserting that he did not go into Kirkpatrick's office early on Monday morning and return with a sack, alleged to contain liquor, to the hotel. The case lasted ten hours.
