[ New Plymouth, Satubday, Apbil 7. MR NEWTON KING'S WKtKLY AUCHON REPORT Mb. Newton Kino reports Cattle.—At Waiwakaibo, on Tuesday, there was a small master of stock. Two or three lines of nice 3 to 3|-year Awakino bullocks came forward, bat there were few buyers for this class, and they were passed out unsold. Few j ouag cattle came forward. Oalves were in (.ocd demand, and sold well. Heifers and store cows were dull of sale. Calves made 13s 6d to £1 6s ; cull do, 7s to lis ; 18 to 20-mont.ks heifers, £1 17s 6d ; 2 to 3-year do, in calf and springing, £2 8s; lialf-Jers<-y sp-inging heifers, £3 lbs; store cows, £1 5s to £2 2s. MESSRS VICKKKS & STEVENS' REPORT. Messrs Vickers & Stevens report a good muster of stock in their Inglewood yards, the greater number being calves, of which nearly 500 changed hands, and competition was fairly good for strong calves. The following prices were obtained:—lnferior calves, 6a 6d to lis; good calves, 17s tid to £l7s6d; store cows, 16s to £1 15s; fat cows, £2 17b 6d to £3; bulls, 10s to £1 sg.

Messrs, Buckland and Sons' report:—On Friday last, at the Haymarket, above the average number of horses were entered, and we cleared the majority at an advance on late prices, The following figures were realised: —Active horses, L2O to L 27 each; light spring-cart horses, L 9 to Lls; ordinary hacks and gig horses, L 5 to L 9, depending upon age and condition; common and poor horses, LI to L2 10s. At the Haymarket, on Tuesday, skins made from 2s to 3s 6d each; pelts, Is 2cl to Is lOd; inferior and weather-beaten pelts, 3d to 9d; lambs' wool, 5d pcrlb; half-bred, 5Jd; long-wool, 4d to 4f d; washed, 6jd; ox hides, 4jd to 53d; cow, 3|d to 4^d; calf, 4d to sjd; tails, 2a 2d per dozen. Atßemuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were at late values. Prices for those at profit were from L3to L 6 each. Fat calves, short of requirements, were better worth. Freshdropped, 3s to 7s; medium, 8s to 14s; heavy, up to L2 7s each (50 sold). Fat cattle, in less than average number and mostly of good quality, improved in value. Steers and heifers brought from 17s to LI; aged cows, 13s to 15s the 1001b. Prices for steers were from LstoL 97s (id; cows, L4to L 7 10s each. Fat sheep, yarded in average numbers, scarcely kept last week's prices. Wethers were from 10s to 14s; ewes, 7s (id to 12s each. Lambs sold Jreely at late values, bringing from Ss to 12s each (1200 sold;. Pigs also were in less demand. Wellfattened porkers, ißs to LI 6s ; heavy, up to Li 15s; small pigs, 4s lo 8s each (80 sold).
