RIFLE MATCH.
A triangular rifle match was fired at Manaia on Friday, between teams from the Taranaki Rifles and the Manaia and Stratford Rifle Olubs. The weather was against good shooting, there being occasional showers, and a terrific wind blowing all the time. Mr. King, of Stratford, made one short of the possible at the 500 yards. The match resulted in a win for the New Plymouth team. The following are the scores:—
The visiting teams wore exceedingly pleased with the excellent treatment rtccoided them by the home team. The final match of the serios will take place at the Frankloy Read Kange on the first Fi iday in May.
