The Chronicle states that 400 Free Staters threaten the railway line near Jacobsda], Reuter's agent states that a strong force of Boers has re-occupied Ltdybrand, whenco it is inferred that their retreat upon Kroonstad has been intercepted. Major-General Clements bis occupied Jagersfontein and Fauresmith unopposed, receiving a cordial welcome from the inhabitants.
