FRICTION BETWEEN THE TWO REPUBLICS.
A MEETING OF THE PRESIDENTS. (Received 24,1.50 a.m.) London, March 23. The Daily Sews states that the Presidents met at Kroonsiad to discuss the situation.
Feeling between the two Republics is very bitter. The Times' Bloemfontein correspondent states that Kruger, on the 21st, issued a proclamation annexing the Free State. Steyn published a counterproclamation that the Free State was intact.
