Received 18, 6.10 p.m. London, March 17, Lord Roberts reports that hundred! are disarming and submitting, inekd* ing 800 Bloemfontein Boers. Many from Aliwal North bait arrived on the Basuto Land border prepared to surrender, declining President Steyn's summons to Kroonstad.
The Daily Newi Delagoa Bay* wrrespondent states that the Transvaal admit their cause is hopeless. Lucas Meyer refuses to fight, and has gone home. Bchalkburger and hundreds of others have done ukswiss.
