[PEB PRIS33 ASSOCIATION.] Wellinqton, Mirch 16. There were five entries for the B Flat solos; Davjes (Wellington Gar- > ison) scored 75 points ; (N.B. Valley) r 7'2; Biker (Wellington), 69 ; HolbeD (Palmerston North) and Butler (Potone), 65. Nearly £2OO has boen taken at the band performances in the Basin Reserve. \
■ The Band contest last night was confined to pieces chosen by the bands themselves, and lasted till after midnight. No awards were made, as the points in this Section are taken into aocount when the final selection is played to-morrow night. At the Band contest, the E Flat b:isses competition resulted j-~T. Gray, Wanganui, 85 points, 1; E. Chyle, Wellington, 80, 2; J. Johnston, Wellington, ana J. Hollow, Denniston, 77 each, equal, third. The others were: F. S. Bugging, Dunedin, 76; S. Geary, Petone, 75; 0. Smith, Dunedin, 74; E. Johnston, Wellington, 71 ; F. Albrecht, Woodville, 65.
