WELLINGTON BAND CONTEST.

[FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, March 14. The Quickstep Competition in connection with the Band Contest has been decided. Ten bands took part, and marched through the town to the Basin Reserve, where a fairly large crowd had gathered. In the absence of Mr. Code, of Melbourne, not 'yet out of quarantine, Mr. C. D. Mcintosh judged the musical portion of the display, various local volunteers acting similarly in the military. The following is the result, points for military work and music being given:—
