[PJSE PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, March 6. At the Supreme Court, Thomat Alfred Dudley again stood for trial on an indictment, containing two counts, charging him with making false state ments in an affidavit with reference to the loss of his residence, the site of a license at Mackay Town. The case was before the Court last week. Accused was found guilty, and sentenced to four months' imprisonment, with hard labor. Ciiristcuurch, March 6. At the Supreme Court this morning, Judge Denniston took leave of the Baton the occasion of his paying a visit to Great Britain. The President of the Law Society, on behalf of the Bar, acknowledged the unvarying courtesy with which they had been met during the Judge's occupancy of the Bench, and wished him a pleasant voyage and a safe return. The Judge, in acknowledging, reciprocated the good feeling on the part of the Bur, and said that during the eleven years he had been on the best of terms with them all. He had been 38 years in the colony without a lengthened holiday, and thought it better to take one now before ho broke down.
