The insurances on the fire at Palmerston, so far as available, ara:— Pearson (baket), stock and furniture, •£350 in Na-.ional; building, £125, and stack £3OO, boMi in Standard ; Findlay'a effects, nearly all saved, £l5O in th 9 National. The buildings, with the exception of G wynne, were owned by Arkla, who is in tho North Island at present, while Lvraon, the tenant of one, is at Hanmer Spring*, and no particulai-3 are available.
