DANTE.
The Theatre Royal will re-open tonight and to-morrow for a conjuring display by Dante, which rumour says will be one of the most remarkable ever witnessed in New Plymouth,, many of the illusions being characterised as extraordinary. It was of so startling a nature, anyway, that it puzzled and completely baffled the community of Melbourne for a period of three months, and this artist in the great art of deception, who is assisted by Mdlle. Edmuiida, likewise had a phenomenally successful season in Sydney, where he started in to do a trick that has never been accomplished by any other magician before, viz., to give 101 consecutive performances in the harbour city. The box plans are now on view at Mr. Gilmour's, and those who wish to secure goad seats should piy an early visit to the box office. In connoction with Djnte's performanca to-night, a special bus will leave Fitzroy at 7.15, returning after the performance.
