In the meantime, while the strictest precautions are being taken, the health authorities strongly deprecate any alarm. Adelaide, January 25. No further plague developments are expected. The restrictions at the hoßpital will be removed at the end of the present week. - (Beceived 25,11.13 p.m.) . Sydney, January 25. The health authorities have definitely decided that P*yne is suffering from plague. Four more persons who were supposed to have come into contact with Payne brve been quarantined. ment has asked shipowners, wharfingers, and others to keep a sharp eye on rats. Wellington, January 25. The Premier has received a cable from the President of tho Sydney Board of Health stating that tbe case isolated in Sydney is undoubtedly one of bubonic plague, in a mild form. There is visible cvidenca that he was innoculated by the bite of a ilea, and it is hoped that no other person has been infected, but the greatest precautions are being taken, -and pitients in the household have been , isolated and his house closed.
