[rat PEES 3 ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, January 25, The resignation of the Hon. Thos, Thompson, as Minister for Defence and Justice, is gazetted. The appointment of the Hon. R. J. Seddon, as Minister for Defence, and of Mr. James McGowan, as Minister for Mines and Justice, is also published. Captain Blackburn is gazetted a member of the Central Board of Health. Dr. Darby succeeds the late Dr. Philsoh as surgeon in |the Auckland prison. _ Dr. Gillon has been appointed Sur-geon-Captain of the New Zealand Volunteer medical staiF. The revised regulations for the entry . of engineer students in the British ITavy, and for students in naval construction, are gazetted.
