VOLUNTEER SHOOTING.
The last competition for 001.-Sergeant Okey's trophy took place on Thursday at the Frankley Road range. The light was bright, and the wind moderate. The ranges were 500 and 600 yards. The following are the principal scores:—
I The result of the competition was a well-deserved win for Corp. MaoDiarmid, with Pvt. Armitage (who wins a silver medal) a good second. The aggregates were as follow:—Corp. MacDiarmid, 177 ; Pvt. A. H. Armitago, 172; Bugler Hopkins, 169; Pvt. McKeown, 168; Sergt. Listor, 164; Sergt. Lever, 164 ; Pvt. Cole, 153. The idea of forming a second company is very well received by the present corps, who will do everything in their power to help +o form it.
