BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH, PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF £60,000. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Uorougli o£ New Plymouth proposes, under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, to borrow by way of Special .ljoa.ll the sum of £OO,OOO for the following purposes 1. (c) To acquire, in connection with providing additions to and extensions of Waterworks and Electrical Lighting, lands (within or without the ilorough), rights, easements, advantages and appurtenances, and buildings, engines, machinery and other

tilings. (d) To piy compensation to any person injuriously altecled, (e) Any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the above purposes. 3. As respects £IO,OOO, to promote the convenience of the inhabitants o£ the Borough, by improving the Streets of the Borough. The Council proposes that the repayment of such Loan be secured by debentures bearing interest at the rate of £4 per centum per annum, payable half-yearly, and that the principal be repayable on the 30th day of Jane, 1920; and that there be pledged as security for the loan, — (a) The Waterworks of the Borough of New Plymouth. (b) A Special Hate of one shilling in the £ on the annual value of all rateable property in the Borough.
