out, and also was unvaccinated. Dr. Rongier, M. Pasteur's representative in Sydney, who attended sufferers from the plague in India, is of opinion that the disease will be quickly stamped out in Noumea, and considers that it is unHkely to spread to Australia. (Received 8, 1.8 a.ro.) Sydney, January 7. Mr. W. J. Lyne, the Premier, states that the papers from the health authorities came up for the Executive's approval after the man had slipped away by the Moana. The Premier has called upon the Board of Health for a report as to their action.
