New Zealander Buys Thrums Press Association—Copyright. ('Received 10.30 a.m.) London, July 3. The New Zealand-born Mr Duncan Elliott Alves’, the distinguished civil and oil engineer, has bought Sir James Barrio’s birthplice, Kirriemuir, otherwise known as “Thrums,” for presentation to the nation.
