Mr MacKenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada, in opening the Canadian pavilion at the Paris Exhibition, said that some people imagined that since the Imperial Conference Canada wished to withdraw from the affairs of the British Commonwealth of Nations. “That is entirely untrue,” he said. “We like to manage our own affairs, but any threat to England will immediately bring Canada to her side.”
