BOOKSELLER FINED “Defendant An Innocent Party” Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, July 2. Morris Edward Leh'any, bookseller, was fined £lO and costs on the charge of exhibiting an indecent document, and £5 and costs' on the charge of gelling an indecent document. Reserved decision was given in the case last Friday. Counsel for Lehany s'aid that the bookseller in these cases was usually an innocent party. He was more so in this case, as publications of the nature mentioned in the charge had long been sold in the country. He made that statement because it was not intended to appeal.
