ABYSSINIAN CONQUEST Many Outposts Beleaguered London, June 29. Tho Daily Herald in a long special article to-day claims that it reveals difficulties thwarting Marshal Graziani's atttmpts to pacify Abyssinia. The outer Italian military posts are virtually beleaguered, the paper says, and food and munitions are dropped from aeroplanes. The nalives refuse to trade and sell produce to the Italians, despite the raising of the value of local currency. One thousand better class Abyssinian women have been exiled for plotting against Marshal Graziani, who over Signor Mussolini’s signa- ! ture has tent out a letter to leading 1 Abyssinians emphasising that Italy lis opening her arms to them like a mother to her children. The letter appeals to the Abyssinian.' to accept Italian goodwill and the benefits of civilisation, pointing | out that honourable surrender Is a real act of heroism,
