CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN

Driver Receives Head Injuries Press Association—Copyright. Invercargill, June 29. A collision between a train from Tuatapere and a motor car occurred at a'railway crossing at the foot of Victoria near the Borstal institution. to-day and resulted in injuries to the head being received l by the driver of the car, Leslie Collett, aged 15 years. He was admitted to the Southland hospital at Kew. Collett was. bringing a new car from the drill hall, where it had baen stored. The side of the motor car which recei 'ed the impact was badly damaged, and the interior at the front also suffered considerably, although the fact that the car was equipped with safety glass and was probably hei z d upright by the cowcatcher of the engine undoubtedly saved the driver fi cm more serious injury.
