JUNIOR RUGBY

CENTRAL DIVISION Knock-Out Competition A decision to hold a knock-out competition starting on Saturday between Stratford, Eltham, United Old Boys and Midhirst teams was made at a meeting last night of the committee controlling junior football in the central division. Mr F. J. Nolan presided. Fixtures and' referees for Saturday were arranged as follows: Stratford v. Eltham at Stratford, at 1.15 p.m., Mr R. Horsup. United Old Boys v. Midhirst, at Midhirst, at 1.30 p.m., Mr K. Elgar. Thanks were accorded to Mr R. Masters for a donation of a cup for the competition and Mr D. Butcher for an offer to engrave the cup. It was resolved that the annual Town v. Country mlatch be played at Stratford on a date to be fixed. A motion passed a at previous meeting to play an extra round in the fourth grade competition was rescinded.
