SLY GROG SELLING

Magistrate Issues Warning Press Association—Copyright Ashburton, June 25. Edward O'Connor was fined £lO for sly ,crog selling by the Magistrate, Mr Morgan, in the Police Court to-day. Mr Morgan said that in view of the cases that had been before him in the last few months he would give a warning that the -penalty in future would' be jail without the option of a fine. Several men who were found on the premises were ordered to pay 10s costs.
