SECTION CHAIRMEN Sub-Committees Appointed The general committee of the Stratford Agricultural and P’astoiul Association met yesterday afternoon, Mr. J. Parish, vice-president occupying the chair in the absence of the president, Mr. A. H'. R. Amess. The need for increasing the mem* beisfeip was stressed by Mr. Parish who pointed out that it would not be possible to continue to give a large amount in prize money unless there was a substantial increase in membership. The report of the executive stated: Already 29 new members have been nominated, and if the members of our committee continue to show the same earnest interest in this* veiy vital matter, our long anticipated 1000 membership roll should be within reach. Amongst the trophies already donated: is one from Mr. W. J. Polson, M.P., for the Open Hunters’ Competition, the one previously donated by this* keen show supporter having been won outright last year. Messrs Lane and Company, London, have ag'ain donated a Canteen of Cutlery for the Pig Section. These handsome trophies are a | worthy example of the popularity and I success of the Stratford Show.
