Stratford To Meet Ohura An opportunity to see in action C. A. Crossman, Ohura and King Country five-eighth,. whose Rugby this season has advanced his claims to selection for the North. Island team, will be afforded Taranaki enthusiasts on July 3. Negotiations have been completed by the Stratford Football Club for a match at Stratford between its senior fifteen and the Ohura sub-union representatives. The Stratford senior team, which appbare likely to win the northern division competition and therefore to b° one of the contestants of the provincial championship play-off on July 10, will have its second round bye on July 3, A fortnight without a match was not considered, suitable preparation in the event -of Stratford being one of the finalists and conse quently the forthcomig match has been arranged; with the Taranaki Rugby Union’s approval. The Ohura sub-union representatives have played one match this season, beating Taumarunui by 7 to 5 at Ohura, while the two sub-unions will meet again at Taumarunui on Saturday. Particular interest will be taken by Rugby enthusiasts in the showing of Crossman, the ex-Strat-ford Technical High School, Inglewood and Clifton player, in view of his displays last season and again on Saturday last against Waikato. New Zealand selectors made a special trip to Taumarunui last spring to see him play and Mr Mark Nicholls watched last Saturday's match. Mr N. A. McKenzie, Hawkes Bay, writing this week of the prospects for the selection of the North Island fifteen, says: "With B. A. Killeen (Auckland) injured, the outstanding player offering for the second five-eighths position is C. E. Robins (Hawkes Bay). C.
