i Stratford v. Tikorangi ; The match last night between the I StrUt-ford and Tikorangi Clubs resulti ed in a victory for the home team by I 70 games to 58. The Str'atford team’s j individual scores were: I Men.—C. Ennis 6 wins, N. Ennis 6, H. Harris 4, A. Robson 5, F. Shackleton 5, C. Dingle 1, Lynch 2, Mr Brewer 4. Women.—Mrs Brewer 8 wins, Miss J. Keat 4, Miss Pollard 2, Miss G. j Brown 8, Miss H. Coward 4, Miss |M. Death 3, Miss V. Carryer 4, MrsA. Robson 4. The ladies saved the match by winning the- first round by 22 games to 10. The men were two games down at the end* of the first round. I but picked these up in the second I round and drew level. 'i Mr Keat welcomed the team and i congratulate d the players on the good showing in playing under new j conditions. i Mr Jupp replied and thanked Strat- : ford for the hospitality extended, and invited a team for the return game at an early date. Members’ table winners results were as follows:—No. 5 table, Mr C. Benefield, No. 6 Mr Willans, No. 7 Mrs K. Pegg, No. 8 Miss P. Brown.
