I Regret was expressed at the absence of Miss Peterson, president, who was unavoidably absent. Miss Tompkins took the chair. Dr. Doris Gordon addressed the meeting as representative of the Trained Nurses’ Association, and spoke on her recently-published book “Gentlemen of the Jury,” dealing with the question in New Zealand. Those present were Dr. Doris Gordon (Straitford), Misses- Jorgensen, Stewart, Thomas and Barker (New Plymouth), Misses Tompkin, Harris and Thompson (Patea), Miss Thom (Opunake), Misses Mason and Preace (Stratford), and Miss J. McCall (Hawena).
