Social and Personal. Mrs W. J. Hall, Swansea Road, has returned from an enjoyable visit to Mrs H. C. Willis (Kaupokanui). * * * Miss Riddle, of Hawera, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs J, B. Richards. * * * Miss M. Sullivan, Regan Street, returned yesterday from Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs Pierce. * * * Mrs Len Sole was a bridge hostess at her residence, Hamlet Street, on Monday afternoon, those present being Mesdames N O. Ebbett, R. Carryer, L. J. Pope, B. Webber, E. Evans and Miss N. Ennis. * * * Mrs H. Heslop entertained the memberts of the Portland Auction Bridge Club on Monday afternoon. She received her guests in a smart navy blue gown. Among those playing were Mesdames A. Coleman, A. Budge, L. H. Jardine, W. H, McLean, L. J. Furrie, J. Cresswell, F. P. D. Jefferies.
