L ’ -■! . , The weather was fine for the continuance of the senior matches on' Saturday, and interest in the closing stages of the competitions was shown by the large attendances. The biggest crowd was present at Victoria Park to witness the match between Stratford and Tukapa, as the decision had a vital effect upon the northern leadership. It was estimated that about 3000 were present. Stratford's win was well deserved, as they were the better team on the play. ■ ‘ In the south, Kaponga defeated Okaiawa, while Opunake and Hawera went down to Patea and Athletic respectively.
