Reason For Prohibition Of Export Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, June 19. With reference to the Order-in-Upuncil, notification of which ap peared in the Gazette on Thursday, prohibiting the exportation from the Dominion o£ cast-iron scrap metal,, Hon. Mark Fagan, Alcting-Minitteir of Customs, stated yesr.erday that it should be observed that 'the restriction applies only to cast-iron scrap. “This 'type of scrap is utilised in the Dominion, and it has been found that supplies are becoming exhausted,” said the Minister. “There is at present no prohibition of the exportation of mild steel or wrought iron scrap metal, or of scrap of the nonferrous m-eta-5. ’
