Dixie Dunbar danced herself right e.o pictures—and then promptly danced herself right out ‘-gain. The attractive little brunette, tea- ■ ured with The Jones Family in the new Fox plcure, “Educating Father,” was first signed to a movie contract, while she was appearing in a Broadway night' club. Dixie was rushed to Hollywood, where she danced in a few' pictures —and '-.hen found she would get no more assignments. Producers were obsessed with the idea she could do nothing but dance. Back Dixie went to Broadway—and when she was again approached by e. movie scout, she insisted that, her roles should carry an opportunity to ct as well as to dance., before she signed a contract. Now Dixie is we-U on her way io becoming one of Hollywood’s favourite comediennes.
