SKATING POPULAR. A large number of skating enthusiasts attended the rink at Stratford on Monday evening. Prizes for the Monte Carlo waltz went to Miss P. VHJers and Air W. Davis. A feature of the evening was a skating exhibition by the proprietor’s four-year-old son. NO WARRANT OF FITNESS. Charged on the information of the Transport Department’s Traffic Inspector, Mr E. S. Summers/ with' failing to carry a warrant of fitness for his motor cycle, V. N. Shimanski of Inglewood was fined 10s in the Stratford Magistrate’s Court to-day. He was convicted and discharged for not having a warning device. RAILWAY TIMETABLE. The opening of the Tawa Flat deviation at the week-end results in altered timing ofMhe Main Trunk expresses and connecting trains. Particulars of the alterations affecting this district are shown in an advertisement appearing in this issue.
