There would be no war if England and America were to declare 4hey would not permit it.’’ Sir Stanley. Reed, President of ithe London Association of Empire Newspapers Overseas, said That when we are invited to sacrifice our Empire trade policy as a gesture to the United States, we should. remember that the United States is spending 32 million sterling in a direct attack on British shipping.
